a step in the right direction
is almost as good as a win

a win is their purpose
but sometimes losers are more fun to be around
in my honest opinion
losers who try,
that is.
winners waste all their love on inanimate things
that won’t love them back
like their jobs or their diets
or staring themselves in the mirror
losers give good effort and learn almost as much
but leave room for love.
if that’s true,
I don’t want another win
a loser I’ll be
so love comes around
because what will a “win” mean
at the end of the day
without you
